Part of the inspiration for Levi’s Adventure Trail comes from the men and women who were here long before any of us or our ancestors; the Native Americans.

We recognize the beauty and history of these original tribes, and wish to give a nod to them through several elements thoughout the playground.

Play elements like our concrete canoe, the tee pee, artifact stones and others will help spark conversations about these people and ensure that their legacy lives on, just like Levi’s. We spent a lot of time in nature, near the river, with Levi, and we want other kids to feel that connection, too.

Levi’s Adventure Trail is situated in Cape Girardeau, MO, one of the locations where the Trail of Tears went through when the Mississippi River was forded.

The Mississippi River is only a few miles from the playground, and the Trail Of Tears State Park is a short drive, too.

Though the story of Trail of Tears is truly tragic, we invite you to visit the park and learn more about these men and women who went before us, and introduce your children to something outside of the normal playground scope.
